A facility to be proud of!

Over the last few years the club have been implementing a squash refurbishment as part of a wider improvement of all of the club facilities. We are proud to announce that the £50,000 squash renovations are now complete. The three and half year project involved renewing the squash courts, upgrading the female and male changing rooms, balcony and corridor.

The work started in the summer of 2015, when both courts were newly plastered and new floors, tins, ceiling insulation, LED lighting and underfloor heating was installed.
In 2017 both female and male changing rooms have benefited from new anti-slip flooring, new seating, new toilet furniture and redecoration.

In the following year the entire clubhouse roof was replaced, including the squash courts.
With the redecoration, new LED lighting, new carpets in the balcony and corridor areas being completed in January this year, the squash section has now been completely renovated, giving us modern, warm facilities of the highest standard.

Steve White, the Squash 1st Team Captain, has nothing but praise for the work that has been carried out. “The courts were badly in need of attention and the changing rooms and balcony areas had become old and worn out. The investment the club has made in the squash section is incredible, we now have the best squash facilities in our area and we should be proud of them. A big thank you is due to Ron Williamson for his efforts in managing the project, and to the club members whose generosity has given us this great, renewed facility.”
