Lancashire Academy beat Nottinghamshire's Academy by four wickets in their second 50 over clash of the tour of Oman.

The Red Rose side lost Rehan Udwadia (sickness) and Jack Morley (broken nose during fielding warm up) in the build up to the game, but replacements were found on a hot day in Oman.

Nottinghamshire won the toss and elected to bat first and they started well taking the score to 51-1 after ten overs with Jordan Clark taking the opening wicket.

Lancashire fielded well restricting the Notts batsman during the middle phase of their innings but they came on strong in their last eight overs finishing on 224/9.

Tom Bailey and Jordan Clark both took two wickets, whilst Muhammad Ahmad took three wickets.

In reply, Lancashire lost two early wickets but Sam Perry (23) and Ed Fluck scored quickly at the crease.

Perry was unlucky to be given out caught behind but Clark (46) continued the early momentum putting on a good partnership with Fluck.

Fluck (43) and Tom Bailey (10) were dismissed in quick succession, but Lancashire youngsters Sam Dorsey (36*) and George Balderson (31*) that saw the team home with four wickets and over ten overs remaining.
