Hyde batsmen to represent the North at Bunbury Festival

Hyde youngster Luke Young has been selected to represent the North of England at this years prestigious Bunbury Festival which starts on Monday at Millfield School in Somerset.
Luke has had to attend trials at Old Trafford, York and Harrogate, and, perform at county level for Cheshire, to gain a place in the squad.
In fact he is the leading run scorer in the Under 15s County Championship, with five half centuries in seven innings.
As the only Cheshire player to make the squad, he will be joined by 6 players from Yorkshire, 5 from Lancashire and 2 from Durham.

Next week he will be competing with the best 15 year old cricketers in this country.

Luke's Dad, Craig, is justifiably proud.
"Luke has worked really hard over the last few years to get to the level he is at now and I feel that his performances for Cheshire have justified his selection."
"By training with Cheshire, and Lancashire's EPP during last winter, Luke's has really improved. So much so he has spent much of the current season in and around Hyde's first team squad."

Luke, and his family, can be very proud of his achievements.
It is our hope at Hyde CSC that Luke is seen as an inspiration to all our aspiring youngsters and an example of what can be achieved with hard work and commitment.

The club would like to wish Luke all the very best of luck for the coming festival and the rest of the season.
