Can you spare a few hours of your time on Saturday 17th March to help your club?

The refurbishment of the nets is at an advanced stage but there is still plenty of work to do in order to get our practice facility ready for use as soon as possible.

Last week a small but very enthusiastic bunch of volunteers put in a very productive 3 hour shift to help move several pallets of concrete blocks down to the nets. This enabled great progress to be made during the week with the build of the retaining wall bordering two sides of the training area.

The teamwork shown by the group, consisting of junior & senior players, parents & members, was a joy to see but with a few more helping hands so much more could have been achieved.

The project team, ably led by David Butterworth, will be at the ground from 8.00 am and it would fantastic to see as many people as possible chipping in for an hour or two. There are still plenty of blocks to be moved so the more volunteers the merrier.

If you’ve got a wheelbarrow then bring that along. It’s quite muddy so please wear appropriate footwear while gloves are advisable too as the concrete blocks have rough edges.

Hope to see you there!
