Change approved by Royal Mail to help resolve issues with deliveries and visitors locating the Club.

Following discussions with Royal Mail and a subsequent review by them of their records the club has been allocated a new post code this week - SK14 3AA. This is the same post code as a number of neighbouring properties on either side of the club driveway, including the Hare & Hounds public house and farm along with residential properties The Old Smithy, The Mount and Mount Cottage.

The request was put forward to try and resolve the long standing issue of visitors and delivery drivers who regularly struggle to locate the club when using various satellite navigation systems and mapping tools. The previous post code SK14 3AD was shared with the golf club while some systems quoted SK14 3AF, which covers properties near Uplands Road, and both of these values sent drivers along Werneth Low Road in completely the wrong direction. In some cases this resulted in visitors arrived hours late for events or functions leading to unnecessary frustration for them and their hosts.

Contact has already been made with the suppliers of Smartphone navigation apps Google Maps (Android), Bing Maps (Microsoft Windows) and Apple Maps (IOS) as well as those for Satnav devices TomTom and HERE to advise them of the change. Hopefully this will quickly filter into their systems in future updates so that when visitors type in the club name or post code they will be able to easily find us.

The club will be taking steps to update all customers, suppliers, sporting and public bodies of the new post code over the coming weeks and months.

We would ask that members update their own records and advise anyone they know who is due to visit the club in the near future to use SK14 3AA when using satellite navigation tools. Unfortunately this change was too late for inclusion in the Cheshire County Cricket League handbook.
