On Friday 19 August 2016 Hyde Cricket and Squash Club will host the PCA England Masters vs Hyde Invitational XI in a Twenty20 match, which is set to be the biggest fundraising event in the club's history.

Confirmed to play in the match are 2005 Ashes winners Steve Harmison, Matthew Hoggard and Simon Jones, plus England legends Mark Ramprakash, Dominic Cork, Paul Nixon, Alex Tudor, Neil Fairbrother, Darren Maddy, Usman Afzaal and Dean Headley.

The day will be hosted by Tim Cocker, Virgin Radio presenter & XFM Manchester legend, who regularly helps create a great atmosphere at Lancashire Lightning T20 matches at Old Trafford.

The event is an exciting opportunity to raise money towards sustaining Hyde Cricket and Squash Club for the local community and for future generations. The club's ambition is to strive for excellence both on and off the field and ‘push new boundaries’ to remain a club that the members and community are proud of. Funds raised will go towards improving facilities, exciting members and leaving a lasting legacy.

The day is set to be fun filled and action packed for everyone who attends. There will be a hospitality marquee for those wanting to have a ‘day at the races’ type of experience, BBQ and pay as you go bars for those wanting a ‘day at the cricket’ experience, opportunities to ‘meet and greet’ the players, junior tournaments and coaching sessions with the players, pre and post-match activities and entertainment plus much more.

We know that Hyde are Cheshire Premier League Champions, so we will be bringing a strong team and are looking forward to a competitive game, enjoying the day and making some new friends.”
