The club were contacted by BT recently who advised that they had no further use for the mast situated behind the scorebox and would be terminating the rental contract.

Work to remove the mast initially started on 7th March but was halted due to the windy weather conditions before being completed the following day. Further remedial work will required in the coming weeks.

While to many the mast may have been a bit of an eyesore and spoiled the view the contract with BT has generated some much needed income over the years. The unexpected termination of the contract therefore has a financial impact moving forward.

James Duffy & the rest will also have to find other things to bounce their 6’s off too!
