Hyde lose 2-3
Hyde 1 narrowly lost 2-3 on Tuesday night to Wigan. Up first was Jordan Jozefczyk who got off to a great start going 1-0 up against Wigans Ryan Atherton. Ryan took the second against the run of play when Jordan served out. Both players played some great squash with Jordan retrieving some shots with dives that would make David De Gea look amature. Ryan went on to win in a match that was closer than the 3-1 scoreline suggests.
Making his first team debut next was Anthony "wack it" Wagstaff againt Mike McDonald, Mike was in full control of the match and had a comfortable 3-0 win for Wigan.
Joshua Taylor went on court 1 against Paul McDonald in a heated match that, having taken the first game josh found himself 2-1 down, Josh battled back to take it 3-2.
George Parker took to court 1 against Tamindar Gata Aura, both players played some quality squash but George cruised to victory winning 3-1.
So with the match at 2-2 the final game of the night was already underway on court 2. Dave Green should have gone 1-0 up but somehow lost it 13-15, however, winning the next 2 games Dave was in poll position to win the match for Hyde but Tim Herron battled back to take the fourth and bring the match to a "winner takes all" showdown. Tim took control winning 11-3 and Wigan the match.
With no games next week, Hyde will hopefully have some players back for their next trip to the high flying Warrington.
