Tough Night For The 4ths

It was always going to be a tough night for a weakened Hyde 4th team. Nigel Howes kicked off losing 3-0 to Mike Brav, Neil Turnbull was second on and gave a little hope by taking the first game against Andy Craig but lost 3-1. Phil Robinson copied Neil by also taking the first game and losing 3-1 to John Welsby. Pete Davies was up next and losing the first game 3-11 it was looking grim against Paul Entwistle but Pete kept his head and took the second, Paul won the third to make it 1-2 but Pete battled back to force the match into a decider, sadly Pete lost the match 2-3. At 4-0 down Andy Berry went on court to try and earn the 4ths some much needed consolation points but it wasn't to be and Andy lost 0-3 to Charlie Simpson.
