Hyde 3rd team had there 1st T20 game of the season and ran out comfortable winners despite getting of to a poor start where both Humphreys (6) & Gaskin (8) fell cheaply. Partridge & Schofield then took to the crease despatching Ashton-on-Mersey all over the ground. They both finished the innings with impressive scores of Partridge (89) & Schofield (63*) albeit Partridge was run out on the last ball of the innings. this left Ashton-on-Mersey chasing a total of 184.
Whilst Hyde was impressive with the bat they were equally impressive in the field and it wasn't long before Koehler got his 1st of the day with an excellent yorker nearly knocking the middle stump out of the pitch Neil eventually finished with 2 wickets along with Taylor, Ainger & Knowles. This led the way for the youngster Sonny Bramwell who has just recently been picked to represent Tameside to round the day of with a superbly bowled yorker knocking the stumps all over the place.
Next up for the boys in the T20 is a Home tie against Cheadle on Sunday 1st May 2pm Stumps.
Lets support the team and get up to the low to watch them, the bar will be open all day
