Walking wounded battle to win

After a loss and a win in the first two games of the season, Hyde hosted The Northern who themselves have had a shaky start losing both opening games.

With Alex Bowden unavailable whilst he moved some boxes from one house to another, this match saw the return of Steve White after a lengthy lay off due to a hamstring injury, all be it a couple of weeks before he wanted to. Richard Gregory was holding his back like the grandad he is and Jordan Jozefczky suffering with the worst case of man flu since the great plague. Could the incapacitated 1st team pull off a second win of the season?

Jordan was first on and in between some great lengths and drops he sniffled and wheezed his way to a 3-0 win.
Next on, Rick Gregory swapped his walking stick for a squash racket and moaned and groaned his way to good 3-2 win.
Third on, with the opportunity to close out the match for Hyde, was the returning Steve White. Unable or more likely unwilling to move forward he somehow managed to save 6 match balls to come from 2-0 down to win 3-2.
Club number 1, Steve Gregory, was next on and he quickly dispatched his opponent showing all of his 1st division skills.
Dave Green was last on, and he decided the best way to wrap up a team win was to not hit a single drive. He dropped, nicked and entertained and came out with a 3-1 win.

So the 1st team managed their first 5-0 win of the season. Next week they travel to Prestbury, don't forget your walking aids, bandages and Ralgex boys!
