Members,
Adam Worrall leaves Hyde Cricket Club after six years
Hyde Cricket Club today announces the departure of wicketkeeper Adam Worrall, who has been a key member of the team since joining in 2020.
Based in Bolton, Adam has decided to continue his cricketing journey closer to home in order to spend more time with his young family and reduce the demands of travel.
During his time at Hyde, Adam established himself as a well-respected and combative wicketkeeper, making a major contribution to the Club’s Cheshire County Premier League side. Between 2020 and 2025, he scored over 1,600 league and cup runs at an average of 23.9, while also claiming 100 catches and 28 stumpings.
Among his many highlights, one stands out above the rest – his unforgettable one-handed diving catch in the outfield, taken without the gloves, which secured victory for Hyde in the 2023 Cheshire Cup Final.
Adam leaves behind big shoes to fill, and everyone at Hyde CC extends their thanks and very best wishes for the future.
The Club is now seeking a replacement wicketkeeper ahead of the 2026 Cheshire County Premier League season. Interested players should contact jashley@sky.com
