Junior cricket coaching is returning for the 2026 season with Hyde CC hosting sessions for all skill levels, including an introduction to cricket for children ages 5-11 years old.

Hyde Cricket Club have had a long line of talented cricketers come through the coaching system on Werneth Low. Many of those home grown players have gone on to have excellent careers. Not just at club level but also for Cheshire and Lancashire County Cricket teams.

We have an open door policy to all local children that would like to try cricket. There’s no major commitment required and it’s a great place for families to socialise on a Friday evening while the kids are playing on the outfield in full view.

Key Information & Training Details:

Time: Every Friday at 18:30 – 20:00

Programs Available: intro to cricket (5-8 yrs) and Dynamos Cricket (8-11 yrs) provide fun, skill-focused sessions. Team coaching for U11's, U13's, U15's.

Training Focus: Fundamentals for the younger age groups including running, throwing, catching and learning the basic rules. The older age group sessions generally focus on batting, bowling, and fielding, with some one to one coaching included.

Equipment: No kit is required to start, we offer a "turn up and play" option. The club can provide equipment for older players if required.

How to Join: Simply come along on Friday and have a free taster session. Speak to Becci on arrival all the details will be provided on the evening.
