I'm delighted to announce the appointment of former skipper John Ashley as our new Cricket Chairman.
John will take up his new role with immediate effect, taking over from Richard Chew, who has decided to stand down after six years in post.

On behalf of the club I'd like to thank Chewy for all his efforts in that time, during which the club has maintained an exceptionally high level, both on the field of play and behind the scenes by strengthening it's off field activities and improving facilities.

Chewy is a well known figure in the Cheshire County League and one of those characters it's always a pleasure to spend time with, especially when enjoying the days events over a few drinks in the clubhouse!
In the attached photo, Chewy can be seen in typical pose, enjoying an afternoon of corporate luxury, in one of football's greatest institutions...the Etihad.
Pretty ironic that he supports United!

He has been a superb Cricket Chair and an important member of the General Committee, a role he will maintain, hopefully for many years still to come.

Thanks for the last 6 years Chewy.
