First on was little ant. This was little ant at his best, movement, selection of shot and court awareness. Unfortunately this only lasted the first game…………. The brain switched off, the next two games were horrendous. You would have thought he was trying to swat an invasion of flies, with the amount wild swings and misses. But a 3-0 win is a good result no matter how you win.

The PM was on next against one of the most argumentative, awkward players in all the leagues that has his own interpretation of the rules. The PM started well getting some great lengths and won the first without any trouble. Then it started getting very scrappy and he lost the second. But then with the help of a very loud partisan home crowd and a strong marker, class showed through. The PM cruised through in the end to a 3-1 win.

I went on next, not much to say on this one. After what seemed a very long match, I ran out with a 3-2 win. True I wasn’t doing much running at the end, more like a crawling.

Worzel on next. Determined to revenge last year’s defeat. He soon switched on, and realised his opponent’s knees and ankles were worse than mine. He had a turning circle of an oil tanker. So Worzel just kept playing his favourite shot ……… the girlie boast. So without much problem another 3-0 win.

Unfortunately for jammy the opposition only had 4 players , so he missed out on beating his old team. But will revel in the fact we won
